Join Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation and PHZ Church for a conference on Ecology and Social Responsibility, 6 October – 8 October in Novi Sad. This will be the first time in Serbia that Christians will come together to make a faithful declaration about the importance of caring for creation and protecting the environment.

The Ecology and Social Responsibility conference kicks off on 6 October 2023 with a public panel presentation in the center of Novi Sad. On Saturday morning, we’ll immerse ourselves in nature with a family friendly walk along the Danube, collecting chestnuts as we go. As agents of change, we’ll put our commitment to social responsibility into action with a garbage collection. The afternoon will feature talks on a variety of topics, including forest protection, pollution emissions, sustainable architecture, and the connection between Christian faith and caring for the environment. The weekend wraps up on Sunday morning with a worship service focused on creation care.

• 9–11:30 AM - Nature walk, chestnut collection, and trash pick-up


• 11:30 AM - Chestnut roast + conversation about sustainability


• 1 PM - Return to Novi Sad for lunch


• 3–6:30 PM - Learning from Practitioners

All who are interested in taking action to care for the environment—regardless of belief or background—are welcome. The conference will be conducted in both English and Serbian.
